At Jessica Leigh Paperie, we do not require our clients to order in industry standard increments of 25 or 50 etc. We do highly recommend ordering 10-15 full sets above what you plan to place in the mail.

Collection Designs: No later than 2-3 months prior to your event date (5-6 for destination).
Custom Designs: No later than 6-7 months prior to your wedding date (7-8 for destination).

*TIP: Always allow for more time. The sooner the better with anything and everything time sensitive!

We recommend planning ahead as we like to hand off your finished invitations approximately 90 days prior to your event date. A very typical timeframe for wedding invitation mailing is 8-10 weeks prior (10-12 weeks for destination weddings) to the big day. This ensures you have a 4 week prior RSVP date. However, you can always choose to mail out your invitations to any event, whenever you’d like. While keeping in mind our lead times, feel free to place your order with JLP according to your plans. An additional fee applies for those *wedding* clients looking to expedite the process. (Collection Designs take 5-6 Weeks + Custom Designs take approximately 3-4 Months).

JLP’s proofing process is very streamlined and detailed. A “proof” is simply a high resolution digital mock up of your invitation set in PDF format. Every single piece of your order is laid out for you to review and approve!

*Please note that we HIGHLY recommend viewing all PDF proofs on a computer screen. iPhones and iPads drastically distort PDF colors
*Hard-copy proofs are always available upon request. Modest fee for shipping will apply

Letterpress is the older traditional printing technique that dates back to the 15th Century. It’s a printing process that is also viewed as an art form. Plates are created and pressed into softer cotton paper types creating an impression in the paper in any ink color. Thus giving the overall invitation/design a tactile and delicate quality. Because of the hand-crafted nature of this technique, there are very subtle differences from one batch to the next. This gives letterpress is true unique character and beauty.

*Please note that it may take a week or two more for this gorgeous technique. Please keep in mind production time when placing an order.
*Gold Leafing is a very similar process to that of letterpress. A wide range of colors are available. Inquire within for options, and always keep in mind production time when placing an order.
